GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks register their first victory in the hockey Challenge Cup

GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks got their first win in the hockey Challenge Cup after beating White Hart 11-0.

As expected the Hotsticks started in a fierce mode and by the first two quarters they were already 4-0 up. They continued to score with Christ Agius inspiring his team when he scored three goals. Gary Bonnici scored a double while Charlo Sammut, Keith Scicluna, Kurt Bonnici, Lucas Plaehn, Alessandro Amore and Silas Plaehn combined the score for their team.

Umpires were Karl Chircop and John Williams.

Meanwhile the game between Qormi Daikin and Floriana Young Stars has been postponed to another date that has yet to be announced.

Two matches were also played from the under 14 league as Marsaskala Heat beat Floriana Young Stars 4-3 in a thrilling match.

Jamie Gambin scored twice while Braylon Gatt Gellel and an own goal sealed the victory for the Seasouthsiders.

The Greens scored through a double by Luke Pisani and another goal by Dean Spiteri.

Umpires were Oscar Toledano and John Williams.

Finally from the same competition, Qormi Daikin beat GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks 4-1.

Zackary Farrugia netted a brace for Qormi while Carl Vergnaud and Ben Falzon continued to score for their team.

Żurrieq’s only goal was scored by Leon Falzon.

Umpires were Oscar Toledano and Karl Chircop.
