On Sunday Emmanuel Bugeja claimed first place at the Grazio Vella & Bros Trap Competition, held at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club. Brian Galea finished in second place, while Gianluca Chetcuti secured third overall.
The six finalists of the competition included Gianluca Chetcuti and Emmanuel Bugeja, both scoring 43 out of 50, Ryan Bugeja and Brian Galea with 42 out of 50, and Ryan Cini alongside Nazzareno Attard, who each scored 37 out of 50 and competed in a shoot-off.
The final results were as follows:
- Emmanuel Bugeja – 22/25
- Brian Galea – 18/25 +5 shoot-off
- Gianluca Chetcuti – 18/25 +4 shoot-off
- Ryan Bugeja – 18/25 +3 shoot-off
- Ryan Cini – 18/25 +0 shoot-off
- Nazzareno Attard – 15/25

The Malta National Shooting Ranges will host the next Trap competition, the 2nd Trap Selection Shoot, on Saturday 31st January, and Sunday 1st February 2026.
This competition highlighted the skill and precision of Maltese clay shooters and set the stage for the next event in the 2026 trap shooting calendar.
