Bugeja clinches MSSF Trap title with strong final round

Emmanuel Bugeja won the MSSF Trap Competition 75 (1-2026), held on Sunday 29th March at the Malta National Shooting Ranges.

Bugeja entered the six-man final in second place after the qualification stage, having hit 69 out of 75 targets. However, he produced the best performance in the final round of 25 targets, scoring 22 to claim the overall title.

Brian Galea finished second with 21, while James Galea Jr, who had topped the qualifications with a score of 70/75, had to settle for third after hitting 18 in the final.

In Class A, James Galea Jr took top spot ahead of Bugeja and Brian Galea. Shazen Grech won Class B, with Gordon Caruana and Nazzareno Attard in second and third.

In Class C, John Marmara came out on top, followed by Ryan Cini and Joseph Mallia.

The next event on the calendar is the 4th Trap Selection Shoot, scheduled for the 11th and 12th of April 2026, again at the Malta National Shooting Ranges.
