Brian Galea claims victory at QCSC Trap Competition

Brian Galea emerged as the winner of the QCSC Trap Competition held at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club. He was joined on the podium by Christopher Vella, who finished in second place, and Ryan Bugeja, who claimed third overall.

The six finalists displayed strong performances, with Vella recording a score of 44/50, Emmanuel Bugeja 43/50, Ryan Bugeja and Nazzareno Attard both scoring 42/50, Galea 39/50, and Philip Camilleri 38/50.

In the overall result, Brian Galea topped the leaderboard with 21/25, while Christopher Vella secured second place with 19 points, winning a four-target shoot-off. Ryan Bugeja also scored 19 points and achieved third place after a three-target shoot-off. Emmanuel Bugeja placed fourth with 18 points, followed by Nazzareno Attard on 14 and Philip Camilleri on 12.

Winners in their respective classes were as follows:

Class A:

  1. Christopher Vella – 44/50
  2. Emmanuel Bugeja – 43/50
  3. Ryan Bugeja – 42/50

Class B:

  1. Nazzareno Attard – 42/50
  2. Leetov Bonnici – 25/50

Class C:

  1. John Marmara – 37/50
  2. Joseph Mallia – 36/50
  3. George Grech – 30/50

The next competition, the 3rd Trap Selection Shoot, is scheduled to take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February 2026 at the Malta National Shooting Ranges.
