The Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport said in a statement that it was pleased to announce that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has declared AIMS as compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code.
This recognition comes as part of WADA’s Code Compliance Monitoring Program, established in 2016 to ensure harmonization amongst International Federations (IFs) and National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs).
Ignatius Zammit, Head of the Testing and Intelligence Department within AIMS – Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport remarked; ‘Through the successful completion of the Code Compliance Questionnaire (CCQ), AIMS demonstrated the implementation of the 2021 WADA Code and its International Standards, and that its anti-doping operation is in line with these established International Standards — reinforcing our commitment to integrity, fairness, and the global fight against doping in sport. This achievement is the result of extensive work undertaken by AIMS in anti-doping’
Mr Zammit added; ‘AIMS will uphold these standards and remains committed to continue strengthening its efforts and operations in anti-doping. This is the ultimate certificate.’
