Former professional Alex Borg has advanced to the final of the National Individual Snooker Championships (Masters Category) after a composed 4-2 victory over Arthur Cachia in a best-of-seven encounter at the Malta Snooker Academy.
The highly anticipated semi-final clash saw Borg use his experience to good effect, overcoming a spirited challenge from Cachia, who registered the highest break of the match — a solid 61.
Despite the strong effort from Cachia, Borg held his nerve in the key moments, capitalising on opportunities and maintaining consistency throughout the frames.
Borg now moves on to the final, where he will be looking to add yet another national title to his distinguished career.
