Lija Athletic and Zero Sei advance in Enemed Women's KO

League champions Lija Athletic eliminated the holders, Swieqi United, with a 4-2 victory. Under the leadership of Jackie Abdilla, Lija started strong and quickly established a 4-0 lead thanks to two goals from Haley Russell and one each from Izabella Camilleri and Leanne Micallef. Swieqi managed to score two late goals through Amy Abdilla and Vanessa Honorio Carneiro. The match was officiated by referees Andrea Naudi and Danilo Francalanza.

Zero Sei completely dominated their match against Iklin, winning 8-0. Andrea Alonso was the standout player, scoring four goals, while Elisa Czik added two. Shania Spiteri and Danna Fuentes also contributed to the score. The referees for this match were Stephen Vella and Sara Kankaras.

In an exciting game, Santa Margherita defeated Parr Mela Futsal 5-2. They built a five-goal lead with two goals from Audrey Chetcuti, plus additional goals from Kirsty Paris, Shakira Bugeja, and an own goal from Yulli Vargas. Parr Mela scored two consolation goals through Tabia Zolat. The match was officiated by referees Clinton Cassar and Marco La Rosa.

In the semifinals of the Enemed Women’s KO scheduled for next week, Lija Athletic will face Santa Margherita, while Zero Sei will take on Mtarfa.
