The FIA and Formula 1 have announced the calendar for the 2025 Formula One World Championship, which will celebrate the sport’s 75th anniversary with a 24-race season.
The season will start with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14-16 and finish with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 5-7. The races will take place across five continents. As Ramadan falls in March 2025, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will be moved to April.
There will still be a summer break in August, with three weekends off between the Hungarian Grand Prix and the Dutch Grand Prix.
Changes made in 2024 to improve the race schedule’s flow will continue in 2025. Japan will follow Australia and China in April, while European races will take place over the summer, followed by the Americas in the autumn. Qatar and Abu Dhabi will close the season back-to-back.
In 2025, six Sprint races will take place in Shanghai, Miami, Spa, Austin, Sao Paulo, and Qatar. Pre-season testing will occur in Bahrain from February 26-28.
