Pembroke Atheta and Mosta both secured significant triumphs in the latest round of matches in the Fuel 10K Under 16 Youth Futsal League. Pembroke earned the largest victory of the day with a 7-0 win against Qrendi.
Maximilian Zammit completed a hat-trick while Raffaele di Lecce, Dylan Amaira, and Nicholas Axiak each contributed a goal. In another exciting game, Mosta defeated Pieta’ Hotspurs 5-2. Luca Chetcuti opened the scoring for Mosta, with Kayden Pace later equalizing for Pieta’. However, Chetcuti once again put Mosta in the lead, only for Joseph Ryan Pace to equalize for Pieta’ Hotspurs. Daryl Cachia then added a third goal for Mosta before the end of the first half. In the second half, Mosta continued their aggressive play and netted two more goals courtesy of Matthias Borg and Francois Micallef.
Meanwhile, the Fuel 10K Under 16 Youth League will continue today with two matches scheduled to take place at the National Sports School. San Ġwann will face Naxxar Lions at 4.45pm while Birżebbuġa Windmills will play against Żabbar St Patrick at 6pm.
