In a thrilling match, defending champions Luxol defeated Swieqi United 7-5. Despite putting up a strong fight, Swieqi could not prevent their first loss of the season against the Maltese champions.
Victor Oliveira Dias was a major contributor for Luxol, scoring a hat-trick, while Jefferson Breno netted twice. Luke Gatt and Celino Alves also added to the score for the Maltese champions. Swieqi managed to stay in the game with two goals from Dylan Musu and one each from Marcelo Alarcon, Rodrigo Rocha, and Karl Luke Schembri. Ta’ Xbiex claimed a 3-0 victory against the Maltese under-19 team, with Giancarlo Sammut, Sebastian Obando, and Valen McKay scoring the decisive goals. GZR Birżebbuġa St Peter’s also tasted their first win of the season by defeating the Maltese under-17 team 9-4. Armando Gjepali and Cristian Camilo Montanez Dias were instrumental in their team’s victory, both scoring a hat-trick, while Denim Parnis, Ciprian Socaciu, and Nikola Milenkoski also added to the score. The Maltese youngsters managed to score through Kaden Baldacchino, Benjamin Spiteri, and Kearan Cutajar (two goals). The match was officiated by Marco Orazio La Rosa and Sillah Alhasana.
