The FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ is only eight days away from its opening match, and the final preparations for the tournament are in their final stages. The 24 participating teams have now announced their final squad lists, with a total of 336 players set to take part in the 10th edition of the tournament.
The competition will be held from 14 September to 6 October 2024, with matches taking place in three host cities: Andijan, Bukhara, and Tashkent. The tournament will showcase the world’s top futsal teams and players, with all six confederations represented among the 24 nations competing. This includes four countries making their first appearance at a FIFA Futsal World Cup™: Afghanistan, France, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Tajikistan.

A star-studded line-up is expected, with well-known players from various countries, such as Argentina, Portugal, and Brazil, set to take the field in Uzbekistan. Pany Varela, who won the adidas Silver Ball and Silver Boot in 2021, stands out among the defending champions Portugal’s formidable squad. Brazil’s Ferrao, the adidas Golden Boot winner in the last World Cup, guarantees goals. New Zealand’s Dylan Manickum has been selected for their first FIFA Futsal World Cup™ team. The 32-year-old will make history by participating in his second FIFA tournament, having previously represented Auckland City FC in the last two editions of the FIFA Club World Cup™.
On 14 September 2024, host nation Uzbekistan will make history as they kick off their campaign at the first-ever FIFA competition in Central Asia against the Netherlands.
