In the top clash of the Enemed Women’s Futsal League, Zero Sei and Lija Women Futsal shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw.
It was a very interesting game between two teams that were joint first in the table. It was Lija who went ahead through Hailey Russell although Zero Sei equalized thanks to Elisa Czik.
Lija maintained their consistency and went ahead again from Ruth Steer Chetham although Andrea Alonso made it 2-2 for Zero Sei.
Meanwhile Hailey Russell made a personal double after scoring again for Lija so that Danna Fuentes made the final score 3-3.
Referees were Danilo Francalanza and Ray Tabone.
Swieqi United Women’s Futsal LEC 07 are just one point away from the top after finding little difficulty to beat Parr Mela Pebbles Futsal 5-0.
The star of Swieqi was Krista Montfort who scored three goals with Amy Abdilla and Michela Felice also finding the net.
Referees were Stephen Vella and Sara Kankaras.
Mtarfa Futsal returned to winning ways after beating Iklin 8-1.
As the score indicates, Mtarfa dominated the match from start to finish with Demi Magrin notching a hat-trick and Stephanie Vanttaren adding two more for her team. Janice Pace, Oriana Bedingfield and Charlene Cassia added more goals for Mtarfa while Iklin reduced the scoring margin from Cheryl Cachia.
Referees were Stefania Bonnici and Sillah Alhasana.
