The Russian driver, Nikita Mazepin, stays in Formula 1

The Russian driver competing for Haas, Nikita Mazepin, will be allowed to stay in Formula 1.

Although everything indicated that the Russian would be expelled from Formula 1, the FIA decided that this would not happen, however, it was decided that Mazepin would compete in the future under a neutral flag, ie the FIA flag.

The decision came after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended a ban on all Russian and Belarusian athletes.

In addition to the flag, it also banned the intonation of the Russian and Belarusian anthems.

It was also decided that the national symbols, colors and flags of Russia and Belarus should not be displayed on uniforms and cars.

Russian and Belarusian officials in the FIA will temporarily resign from their positions.
