Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss is considering an offer to buy Chelsea football club from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.
“Abramovich is currently trying to sell all his villas in England. He also now wants to get rid of Chelsea. I, along with three other people, received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich. I will wait another four or five days to see how things will go, “said Wyss, adding:
“Abramovich is asking too much at the moment. “Chelsea owes him 2 billion pounds, but Chelsea has no money, so the one who buys the London club will compensate Abramovich.”
Hansjorg Wyss, the Swiss tycoon stated that the price is still unknown.
“I can imagine joining Chelsea with my partners. But first I have to check the general conditions carefully. But what I can already say is that I will certainly not do something like that alone. “If I buy Chelsea, it will be with a consortium of six or seven investors,” said Wyss.
European champion Chelsea recently passed into the hands of the charity foundation of the London club after Abramovich withdrew due to the war in Ukraine.
