Lewis Hamilton was disqualified from qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The FIA determined that there were certain irregularities related to the DRS system on Hamilton’s car, so he was disqualified from yesterday’s qualifications.
This means that today’s sprint race, which runs from 20.30, will start from the rear, with the remark that it will be moved back five places to the achieved result due to the change of the drive unit components.
Also, the first place in the Formula 1 championship, Max Verstappen, received a penalty.
After yesterday’s qualifications, the Dutchman touched Lewis Hamilton’s car, which is not allowed. Because of this, Max will have to pay 50,000 euros, which is a miserable penalty compared to the British one.
There were no additional penalties, so Verstappen will start today’s race from the first position.
A great drama is taking place at the end of this season about who will be the new champion in both individual and team competitions.
Certainly, the disqualification of the British will be of great help to Verstappen.
What do you think, can the Dutchman reach the first title in his career?
