Malta Sport, through our social media platform, has exclusively revealed that Valletta are set to announce the signing of former Ħamrun Spartans forward Stijn Meijer in the coming hours.
The 27-year-old Dutch striker joined Ħamrun last summer but made only limited appearances and is now looking to revive his career with the capital club.
In the past, Meijer has played for FC Dordrecht, PEC Zwolle, SC Verl (loan), Al-Shahania (Qatar), FC U Craiova (Romania) and youth sides including FC Utrecht, FC Twente and Willem II.
On Thursday, Valletta also confirmed the signing of former Żabbar St Patrick forward Diogo Tavares to strengthen their attacking options.
