Floriana moved to the top of the table after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Gżira United.
In the fourth minute, Floriana took an early lead through a precise long-range free kick from Fernando Junior Gomes, which left Mangano with no chance.
In the 15th minute, Gżira had a good opportunity from a corner delivered by Nikola Disic, finding Gabriel Mentz, whose header was well saved by Christoffer. The rebound fell to Minala, but from close range, he fired over the bar.
Just a minute later, Floriana doubled their advantage. Junior Gomes won the ball from two Gżira defenders, surged into the box, and fired a low shot into the net to make it 2-0.
In the 36th minute, a shot from Aldama inside the box was well saved by Christoffer.
In the 47th minute, Cardozo’s strike from outside the box forced a good save from Mangano, who turned the ball behind for a corner.
In the 68th minute, Floriana were awarded a penalty when Mashike was brought down in the box by Bohrer. Mashike stepped up himself and converted from the spot to make it 3-0.
In the 82nd minute, Sasere went close for Gżira, but his shot from inside the box went just wide.
