Gzira United moved up to sixth spot in the 360Sports Malta Premier Opening Round, after defeating bottom-placed Zabbar St. Patrick 3-1.
Malta international Gabriel Mentz broke the deadlock after 8 minutes, with Djordje Jovicic equalising in the 21st minute to level the score.
Gzira took control in the second half, and Lecao put his side ahead again on the hour mark.
The Brazilian secured the victory in the 86th minute, giving the Maroons a crucial win and placing them among the top 6.
