Just like Hibernians, Floriana are out of the UEFA Europa Conference League after a 1-1 draw on Thursday against FC Ballkani at the Centenary Stadium, ending the tie with a 5-3 aggregate defeat.
The Greens played well and took the lead in the 38th minute with a great team move finished confidently by captain Dunstan Vella. However, just eight minutes later, while Floriana were pushing for a second goal, Ballkani equalised through a low shot by Nigerian striker Sunday Adetunji.
Floriana kept pushing throughout the match, but the Kosovan side stayed solid at the back and held on until the final whistle. Ballkani now move on to face Shamrock Rovers of Ireland in the next round.
