Ahead of tonight’s clash with Shamrock Rovers, the last match of Ħamrun’s incredible European journey this season, head coach Giacomo Modica spoke positively about the opponents, saying they deserved more than the single point they have in the table and praising the quality in their squad, with four or five very important players capable of deciding a game.
Turning his attention to his own side, Modica said: “We need to put in a very strong performance and make fewer mistakes. That’s the only thing that matters for us, regardless of how many points we end up with.”

Belgian forward Mouad El Fanis said that, above all, he and his teammates are very happy to have reached this phase of the competition. He stressed that the team’s mindset is clear: “We are here to win, not to draw or just to play. We want to win the match and take the three points, that’s it.”
Ħamrun face Shamrock Rovers in Matchday 6 of the UEFA COnference League at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin at 9pm.
