Manchester City secured a place in the top eight of the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Galatasaray.
City started quickly, knowing a win was needed. They took the lead early when Jérémy Doku played a perfect through ball to Erling Haaland, who calmly lifted the ball over the goalkeeper and into the net.
City kept the pressure on and doubled their lead before half-time. Doku again provided the assist, pulling the ball back for Rayan Cherki, who took a touch and fired past the goalkeeper.
Galatasaray were better after the break but never seriously troubled City. Apart from one blocked shot, they created very little. City had chances to score again, but a third goal was not needed.
In the closing minutes, City waited nervously for results from other matches, but they held onto their top-eight place and avoided the play-offs. Galatasaray stayed inside the top 24 and will now go into the play-offs as an unseeded team.
