Sevilla player hit in the head with a bar in 39th minute! (VIDEO)

The heated derby between Betis and Sevilla, more precisely the match of the eighth finals of the King’s Cup, was interrupted after the incident that happened.

The match was stopped because the Sevilla player, Joan Jordan, was hit in the head with a hard object that looked like a bar.

The incident occurred in the 39th minute, at the moment when the Betis players were celebrating Nabil Fekir’s equalizing goal.

Sevilla took the lead at the “Benito Villamarin” stadium with a goal by Papu Gomez only four minutes earlier.

As soon as he was hit in the head, Jordan fell to the ground, but he managed to get up very quickly.

However, he needed help getting off the field.

Immediately afterwards, the referee, Ricardo de Burgos told the members of both teams to leave the field, so that after 20 minutes, the Football Federation of Spain would stop the match.

The governing body of Spanish football announced that it “strongly condemns all types of violence on the football field.”

Until the decision was made to suspend the match, the police searched the part of the stands from which someone had thrown a bar.

For now, there is no information on when the continuation of the match could be played.

The incident in which Jordan was hit cast a big shadow on an extremely interesting duel up to that point.

Betis was better, but he did not use it. In fact Gomez brought the advantage to the guests with a shot from the edge of the penalty area.

The hosts responded with a great goal by Fekir from the corner, but the game was soon interrupted, and then suspended until further notice.
