Atalanta drew 1-1 with AC Milan in Serie A, making it their fifth draw in a row but keeping their unbeaten run alive this season.
Milan started strongly and took the lead after just four minutes. A corner was only half-cleared by Honest Ahanor, and Samuele Ricci’s shot deflected off Éderson before ending up in the net. Atalanta reacted well, with Isak Hien and Davide Zappacosta both going close, while Ahanor missed a big chance from close range.
Atalanta finally equalised after a clever team move. Mario Pašalić played a perfect pass to Ademola Lookman, who fired a powerful left-footed shot past Mike Maignan for his first goal of the season.
After the break, Milan looked sharper following the introductions of Christopher Nkunku and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Nkunku almost made an instant impact, setting up a chance for Youssouf Fofana, who fired wide.
Both teams pushed for a winner, but neither could find one. Maignan made a brilliant save to stop Zappacosta’s curling effort late on.
In the end, the draw suited Milan more. They are now unbeaten in nine games across all competitions. Atalanta’s coach, Ivan Jurić, will be disappointed to drop more points, as his side have now won only three of their last 16 home league matches.
