The Real Madrid players reached their 14th European title after beating Liverpool 1-0 in tonight’s final in Paris.
Madrid, despite a not-so-great game, managed to celebrate and once again confirm how well they are playing in the European finals.
Real reached the 14th title in their 17th final.
Liverpool were dominant in the first half. They hit the post (Mane), but still Ancelotti’s team was able to go to halftime with an advantage.
However, the goal scored by Benzema was annulled due to the offside in which the Frenchman found himself.
The Madrid team is not at the level it was in the first 45 minutes, but it was evident that there was a lot of space for possible counterattacks.
There were no such people in the first half, but that is why it was in the 59th minute. When Valverde threw the ball from the right side, Vinicius followed the action very well and routinely overcame Alisson.
The picture did not change even after Real’s goal. Liverpool pressed and created chances, but Real had a great Thibaut Courtois in goal!
Salah was in a good position on several occasions, especially in the 63rd and 83rd minutes, but on both occasions, Courtois was exceptional.
As the end drew to a close, nervousness grew in the ranks of Jurgen Klopp. Real seemed safer, and certainly calmer and without major problems. They managed to preserve the acquired advantage and to be crowned with another European title.
