Milovan Rajevac was fired after the debacle at the African Cup of Nations.
Although Rajevac did a lot for them, primarily because of the great games at the World Cup in South Africa, they still could not pass after the debacle in Cameroon.
They were not considered favorites, but they were expected to pass the group and go to the knockout phase. But they did badly, out of 3 games they won only one point in the group with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
The biggest debacle was the defeat by Comoros (2:3), and that also decided the dismissal of Rajevac.
Although he did not want to resign, saying he wanted to take Ghana to the World Cup in Qatar, his bosses had different plans.
