Chelsea manager Graham Potter spoke about the problems the London club has in agreeing on the terms of extending cooperation with midfielder Mason Mount, whose current contract runs until next summer.
Mount has been the target of other rich clubs from the Premier League for some time, and if an agreement is not reached, it is speculated that he may leave Stafford Bridge in the summer.
“It’s always complicated during negotiations, it’s up to Mason and the club to resolve the situation. It’s fantastic to work with him, I hope they reach an agreement soon”, said the manager of the London club.
In the previous two transfer periods, Chelsea spent the most money of all the clubs in the world, over 600 million euros.
Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is not even registered for the knockout phase of the Champions League, is in an unenviable position.
“Pierre is an important part of our team. Every situation is subject to change. He treats his duties very well,” concluded Potter.
