Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino denied media reports that French footballer Kylian Mbappe influenced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.
He was replaced on the “Saints” bench by Christophe Galtier, and after a few weeks, the Argentine spoke out to clarify certain dilemmas related to his departure from the club.
“PSG did everything to keep Kylian and I agreed with that. He is one of the best players in the world and I think that the club, with all the resources at its disposal, managed to convince him to stay. However, I think that Kilian is not the one who designed the new project. Those in charge, in this case the president, are the ones who thought it was most appropriate to start a new project,” said Pochettino.
Some media in France wrote that the Frenchman’s decision to stay coincided with the departure of the coach from the bench, but the coach denied this in this case.
