"THE HAMMERS" PREPARED GOLD: Lyon playmaker on the Moyes scanner - His pedigree is really good!

West Ham coach David Moyes has confirmed that the club had made an offer for Lyon player Lucas Paqueta.

According to the media, West Ham made an offer of around 34 million pounds for this 24-year-old Brazilian footballer.

Paqueta scored nine goals and recorded six assists in 35 games in League 1 last season.

We sent an offer for him. I think his pedigree is really good. Of course, pedigree is not always a guarantee, but I hope Paqueta can be of help to us – said Moyes.

Paqueta, who scored seven goals in 33 games for Brazil, played for Lyon against West Ham in last season’s quarter-finals of the Europa League, which the Hammers won with a total score of 4:1.

He has scored 21 goals and provided 14 assists in his 80 appearances for Lyon since joining from Milan two years ago.

The West Ham team is the only one in the Premier League that did not win a point in the first three rounds, but did not score a goal.
