Modric's Contract Extension with Real Madrid in Question

The future of Luka Modric has been a topic of discussion for several months, with negotiations ongoing between the midfielder and Real Madrid regarding a contract extension.

Despite the speculation, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed confidence that an “adequate decision” will be reached between the two sides.

In a recent press conference ahead of a match with Betis, Ancelotti was asked about Modric’s contract situation, to which he replied: “I do not consider renewing the contract with Modric a big problem. He will do what he wants.”

The 37-year-old Modric has previously stated that he wishes to continue playing at the Santiago Bernabeu next season. With his current contract set to expire at the end of this season, it remains to be seen whether the midfielder will indeed remain in Madrid.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Modric’s future, Ancelotti appears unconcerned, suggesting that the player will make a decision that is in his best interest.
