Messi skips Auxerre for Argentina

Lionel Messi shines in Paris this season, but everyone knows that his greatest love is playing for the Argentina national team.

Leo “consolidated” as much as his “gauchos” to climb the throne this time – Argentina is going to the biggest spectacle with a streak of 35 games without defeat (the record is held by the Italians with 37) and as the official champions of South America.

In the previous part of the season, Messi played for Paris Saint-Germain, scored 12 goals, with 13 assists in 17 games in all competitions, and based on these merits, he asked Saints coach Christophe Galtier not to play in the last game before the World Cup championship, so that he can be rested and ready to welcome the World Championship in Qatar.

As reported by the French media, the Argentine will skip the championship match with Auxerre at the “Park of the Princes” on November 13, and the championship in Qatar starts seven days later.

Argentina has two world championship titles (1978 and 1986), while the last time it was in the final was in 2014, when it was defeated by Germany 1:0 (goal by Mario Gece).
