Video: Meridianbet FA Trophy draws held for last 32 and last 16. Floriana FC to face Tigers

The draw for the Round of 32 and Round 16 of the Meridianbet FA Trophy was held on Wednesday 18th December 2024 at Centenary Hall.

The draw was presented by Malta FA Director of Football Operations Stephen Azzopardi, former Malta National Team player Andrew Cohen and Meridianbet’s Byron Falzon.

During the Round of 32 stage, teams from the Malta Premier join the winners of the Meridianbet FA Trophy Preliminary Round. The six teams who finished in the first six places of the top tier in the 2023/24 season were seeded, with these being Hamrun Spartans, Floriana, Sliema Wanderers, Marsaxlokk, Birkirkara and Naxxar Lions.

The teams in the Round of 32 also include the four Semi-Finalists of the National Amateur Cup, with two making winning their ties in the Preliminary Round, and the other two were automatically qualified. These are Mellieha SC, Victoria Hotspurs, Attard and Qrendi.

The draw for the Round of 32 determined the potential matchups for the Round of 16.

The Round of 32 and 16 matches will be as follows:

The Round of 32 matches will be played between 10th and 12th January 2025. On the other hand, the Round of 16 games will be played between 4th and 6th February 2025.

Following that, the Quarter Finals will take place on 4th and 5th March 2025, which will then be followed by the Semi-Finals on 10th and 11th May 2025, as well as 13th and 14th May 2025. The Final will be played on either 17th or 18th May 2025.
