Juventus footballer Angel Di Maria will be absent from the field for about 20 days due to a hamstring injury, the Italian club announced today.
The Black and Whites stated that the examinations revealed that it was a “small damage to the tendon of the right thigh and that the footballer will need about 20 days to recover”.
Di Maria was injured on Tuesday during the match against Maccabi Haifa (0:2) in the Champions League.
Di Maria is an Argentina international and if he recovers in time, he is expected to be in the squad for the World Cup in Qatar, which starts on November 20.
Argentina will play in Group C against Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
