Żurrieq Wolves registered their second win of the season when they beat Luxol 4-1 also obtaining a double over the same opponents.
The Wolves were motivated to get the most out of this match after a series of negative results. Above all they had goalkeeper David Farrugia who performed a string of good saves to keep his team in the match.
Żurrieq opened a double advantage after goals from Brian Axisa and Josef Vassallo.
A few minutes from the end of the first half, Luxol were awarded a penalty which was scored by Manolito Micallef but Żurrieq increased the advantage again with a good goal by Alex Abdilla.
In the second half, Żurrieq sealed the victory through Clarence John Thompson who, after receiving well from Robert Zammit, slotted into an empty net.
