Sliema Wanderers secured their place in the next round of the Enemed Jubilee Cup after a 3-2 win over Birkirkara. They will now face the winner of the match between Żurrieq and Mosta.
Sliema took the lead in the 13th minute when a cross from Beerman on the left found Bah, who fired the ball into the net.
Sliema Wanderers scored their second goal in the 35th minute after a cross from the right with Bah turning the ball into the net. Goalkeeper, Grech, tried to punch the ball away, but it ended up in the goal.
In the 38th minute, Sliema were awarded a penalty after referee Ezekiel Barbara used the Football Video Support (FVS) system to confirm that Reid had handled the ball inside the box. Murilo made no mistake from the spot, giving Sliema a 3-0 lead.
Birkirkara pulled one back in the final minute of normal time when Fenech scored from close range after a cross from Morello. In added time, Reid scored again from the left to make it 3-2, but it was too late for Birkirkara to recover, and Sliema advanced to the next round.
