Nine men Floriana managed to book their place for this Sunday’s big final after beating Gżira Utd in the Semi Final of this competition after penalties. Gżira opened a two goal lead early in the game, thanks to goals from Gabriel Bohrer and Zachary Cassar. Floriana managed to level the scores goals from Nicholas Garcia and Kemar Reid. Floriana ended the game in nine men after Garcia and El Hasni both were red carded and will eventually miss out on the final.
The match ended 2-2 after 120 minutes of spectacular football from both sides. Floriana won on penalties when Thaylor Aldama for Gżira missed the only penalty from their five penalty kicks.
Final score Floriana 5 Gżira 4 after penalties for a final thrilling 7-6 scoreline.
The other Semi Final will be played on Wednesday night between Sliema Wds and Birkirkara with kick off scheduled at 19:00hrs.
