Valletta secured their 10th league win, coming from behind to defeat Swieqi United 2-1. Despite trailing at halftime after Terence Vella’s goal, the Lilywhites turned the game around in the second half. Andrei Ciolacu equalized from the penalty spot before Diego Paiber’s deflected strike sealed the win. Valletta now sit seven points clear at the top, edging closer to an immediate Premiership return.
Marsa Held to Goalless Stalemate

Marsa missed the chance to close the gap on Valletta, as they were held to a 0-0 draw by a resilient St Andrews side. Despite a late red card for St Andrews’ captain Michael Johnson, Marsa failed to capitalize and had to settle for a point. The result secures Marsa’s place in the Top 8 but dents their title ambitions.

Tarxien were moments away from a fourth consecutive win before Zurrieq’s Anderson De Barros struck a stoppage-time equalizer. Claudio Murici had earlier put Tarxien ahead in the first half, but their late collapse saw them drop two crucial points.

Pieta’ climbed to fifth place with a convincing 3-0 victory over Gudja United. Emmanuel Bio opened the scoring in the first half before Japanese forward Hidesato Ueda netted twice in the second half to seal an emphatic win. Pieta’ are now well-positioned to secure a Top 8 finish.

Fgura United produced an outstanding performance, thrashing Santa Lucia 5-1 to keep their Top 8 hopes alive. Samuel Buhagiar, Donys Quintero, Timmy Akande, Dylan Caruana, and John Awori all found the net in a dominant display.
With just two games remaining in the first phase, the battle for Top 8 spots remains fierce, while Valletta continue their march towards the Premiership.
