Lewandowski: The road to the Ballon d'Or is shorter when you are in Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski left Bayern Munich in this transfer window and joined Barcelona, from which, according to the Polish footballer, he can more easily win the Ballon d’Or.

The Pole has already scored 11 goals in 8 games in all competitions for the Catalan club and believes he could be in contention to win the Ballon d’Or in 2022.

However, the favorite is still the Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema, who led the “Royal Club” to the Primera title and the Champions League this year.

“I feel like I’ve been in Barcelona for a long time. I didn’t expect the fans to start singing to me so quickly. “Barcelona is the team that produced the most Ballon d’Or winners in history, I think that the path to that award is shorter when you’re at Barca than when you’re at Bayern,” said the 34-year-old forward.

During the summer, Lewandowski moved from Bayern to Barcelona for 50 million euros.
