The commercial court rejected Barcelona’s appeal due to preventive measures and the young talented midfielder Gavi must be sent back to the youth facility.
The Commercial Court already decided on March 16 that, after the appeal filed by Barsa, it does not withdraw and ratify its decision.
To date, Gavi has not been able to be registered as a first-team player, as the club promised in the last contract renewal, due to salary restrictions. Barcelona must resolve the financial situation if they want Gavi to be in the first team next season.
He will also have to swap the number six shirt temporarily for 30, and the new youth contract that comes into effect has a clause allowing him to leave Barcelona in the summer without any compensation.
The Commercial Court rejected this appeal and confirmed that the request for precautionary measures requested by Barsa came after the deadline.
Therefore, the decision remained to punish the team from “Camp Nou”, whose only saving grace is the 20-day deadline for which they can appeal to the Provincial Court of Barcelona.
