The coach of Liverpool, the German expert Jurgen Klopp, pointed out that it is not a problem for his team to play the Europa League instead of the Champions League.
The German has been a regular participant in the Champions League for the past six years, but as things stand now, it is unlikely that they will reach fourth place in the Premier League, which would once again take them to the most elite European club competition.
“We’ll take whatever we get. At the beginning of the season, we didn’t think about the Europa League, but I would be lying if I said it was a success. However, the way things were going, that would be a great result now too. I have no problem with us competing in the Europa League,’ said Klopp.
Liverpool is currently seventh in the table with seven points less and a match more than the fourth-placed United. On Sunday at 17:30 they play against Tottenham in the Premier League.
