AN EMOTIONAL JAMES ADMITS: "I'm devastated, I believed I could help the team in Qatar"!

England international Reece James will miss the World Cup due to a knee injury.

The Chelsea player was injured in the Champions League game between Chelsea and AC Milan and was unable to recover in time to find his place among the travelers to Qatar.

The media in England reported that James will not be on Gareth Southgate’s list, and now he has also taken to social media with a statement.

Devastated. The moment I injured my knee, I knew the turn around to make the World Cup would be tight, but I always felt it was possible. I’ve worked harder than I ever thought I could to vie myself the best chance of going and truly believed I could help the team. – announced James.

James played 15 games for “Perfidious Albion” in his career.

England opens the competition against Iran on November 21, then plays America on the 25th, and will close the group stage in a duel with Wales on November 29.
