Serbia will be a hard nut to crack

Spain’s UEFA Nations League champs held an open practice on Monday before a lively crowd as they readied for their upcoming clash with Serbia.

Luis de la Fuente’s team gathered at Las Rozas training grounds after their successful Euro 2024 run to prepare for their UEFA Nations League opener on Thursday.

Spanish supporters warmly welcomed Barcelona’s budding star, Lamine Yamal.

The young talent, crowned best young player at Euro 2024 and scorer of the tournament’s finest goal, drew cheers from the fans.

Unai Simon and Alvaro Morata missed out due to injuries, while Alex Baena and Fermin were given a break after their busy summer at both the Euro and Olympics.

Defender Nacho and Mikel Merino were also absent from the squad.
