Brazilian forward Neymar, 32, has said that reuniting with his former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami is an interesting idea. He hasn’t ruled out a move to the United States as his contract with Al Hilal nears its end.
Neymar formed a deadly partnership with Messi and Suarez at Barcelona, helping them win a historic treble before his record €222 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
“Playing again with Messi and Suarez would be incredible. They are my friends, and we still keep in touch,” Neymar told CNN. “It would be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al Hilal and in Saudi Arabia, but football is full of surprises.”
Since joining Al Hilal in 2023 for €90 million, Neymar has only played seven times due to injuries. His contract ends in June.
He spent six years at PSG, scoring 118 goals, but despite his success in domestic competitions, he never won the Champions League with the French club.
“When the news came out that I was leaving PSG, the transfer window in the US was closed, so I didn’t have the option of moving to Miami in 2023,” Neymar explained. “The offer from Saudi Arabia was great, not just for me but for my family, so it was the best option.”

Neymar, Brazil’s all-time top scorer with 79 goals, is determined to have one last shot at World Cup glory in 2026. Brazil are currently fifth in the South American qualifiers, with six rounds left to secure automatic qualification.
“I will try, I want to be there. I will do everything I can to be part of the team,” Neymar said, who hasn’t played since injuring his knee in October 2023. “I know this will be my last World Cup, my last chance, and I’ll do everything to play in it.”
