Maltese International Midfielder Dylan Scicluna, who plays for Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia, has been ruled out of the upcoming international window due to injury.
The MFA said that Scicluna, was set to join the Malta senior squad for the first time but had to withdraw after sustaining an ankle injury in Western Sydney Wanderers’ recent 4-1 league victory over Newcastle Jets.
Scicluna will have a scan the coming days to assess the full extent of the injury. The Malta FA said that the player will remain in Australia to focus on his recovery.
