Atletico Madrid have confirmed the permanent signing of Argentine goalkeeper Juan Musso from Atalanta on a three-year contract, the clubs announced on Tuesday.
Musso, 31, initially joined Atletico Madrid on loan last season, providing valuable support as the backup to first-choice goalkeeper Jan Oblak. During his loan spell, he made nine appearances, including seven in the Copa del Rey and two in LaLiga, showcasing his reliability when called upon.

Before moving to Spain, Musso spent three seasons with Atalanta in Serie A, where he established himself as a top goalkeeper. He played a key role in Atalanta’s successful run to win the Europa League last year. On the international stage, Musso has earned two caps for Argentina since his debut in 2019.

Atletico’s decision to sign Musso permanently underlines their confidence in his abilities and adds depth to their goalkeeping options as they continue to compete on multiple fronts.
