The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, spoke to the media after his team won 3:0 against Sheffield United and reached the final of the FA Cup.
Guardiola was delighted with the approach of his players, and especially with the hero of the match, Riyad Mahrez, who scored all three goals for the “citizens”.
“An exceptional edition of my boys, especially since they played in Munich just three days ago. In the end, it was the quality of Mahrez that decided. We saw his qualities when he was in Leicester, he is a great competitor,’ said Pep.
Now he knows what he can expect from his team.
“It’s not about being here, it’s about where we came from to fight for trophies all these years. Being here every year means we have a strong mentality, not just good players. It’s an honor to be in the final, we played great,’ Guardiola concluded.
Manchester United and Brighton meet today in the second semi-final at Wembley.
