The visiting players are playing great football and together with Union Berlin they are the most pleasant surprise this season.
The first half was equal. Both teams had chances to score, but they failed to materialize them.
However, the silence was broken by Freiburg in the last minutes of the first half. Grifo dribbled past his keeper and found space for a shot which he converted into a goal!
The guests started aggressively in the second half as well, but they failed to score a goal.
The decisive goal was scored in the 62nd minute when Grifo scored the second goal of the match from the penalty spot for the final 2:0!
Schalke had several opportunities from the 70th minute to score, but they failed to do so and suffered another defeat.
After this victory, Freiburg returned to the top three teams and now has a point less than the second-placed Bayern, while Schalke is last in the table with only six points.
