A real scandal in Romania! Former national team player Bănel Nicoliță has disappeared, Romanian media report.
Nicoliță allegedly had to leave Romania, and the local media mention that he hid from the usurers after he borrowed 100,000 euros from them, which he could not return, writes “Digi sport”.
After the news that he had disappeared, his brother announced.
- I can’t tell you where he is, but Bănel didn’t escape. He plays football and trains some children abroad. I’m really amused by the stories about Bănel that journalists make up. He is not obliged and is in good health – said Nicoliță’s brother.
Romanian portals published information that the football player is in America, where he got a job as a bricklayer for a salary of 3,000 dollars a month, of which he sends home 1,000 dollars to his creditors with whom he is indebted.
FCSB owner Gigi Becali had no idea where his former footballer was at the moment:
- I don’t know anything about the situation of Bănel Nicoliță and I don’t know what he is doing. I didn’t talk to him for a long time and, honestly, I didn’t even know that he left Romania for the United States. Bănel’s situation doesn’t really interest me because I have other things in mind. Everyone goes with their work and problems – said Becali.
