FIFA Unveils Official Logo and Campaign for 2026 World Cup

FIFA has officially launched the journey to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, by revealing the tournament’s official logo at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles.

The logo, presented by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and two-time World Cup winner Ronaldo Nazário, prominently features an image of the FIFA World Cup trophy in the foreground and the year of the tournament in bold text in the background. This is the first time that the FIFA World Cup Trophy has been incorporated into the official logo.

Alongside the logo unveiling, FIFA introduced the “WE ARE 26” campaign, aimed at encouraging active participation from people, places, and communities in the launch of the tournament, as stated in a FIFA press release. The campaign serves as a rallying cry for the three host countries and the entire continent, expressing unity and the commitment to deliver the biggest, best, and most inclusive FIFA World Cup ever.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the tournament as an opportunity for each host country and participating team to create their own historic moments in the FIFA World Cup’s history. Furthermore, Infantino highlighted that each of the 16 host cities will have their own unique branding, with distinctive colors and iconography, to provide a personalized touch reflecting the essence of the cities hosting the World Cup.

As the logo was revealed in Los Angeles, Infantino emphasized that not only were they celebrating together at that moment, but the entire continent was rejoicing in anticipation of uniting North America to host the world’s greatest show in three years’ time.
