Contract Negotiations with Potter
The process of appointing Potter initially stalled on Tuesday, as West Ham preferred a short-term deal until the end of the season. However, Potter insisted on a longer-term contract, and the club ultimately agreed to his terms for a deal extending until 2027. While the agreement is yet to be finalized, all indications point to Potter’s return to coaching after his seven-month stint at Chelsea ended in April 2023.
Lopetegui’s Exit

While he briefly earned a reprieve last month after a four-match unbeaten run—including wins against Wolves and Southampton—two heavy defeats sealed his fate.
