Thiago Silva is like wine, the older he gets, the better he looks on the field.
The Brazilian stopper is 38 years old and signed a new contract with Chelsea today.
The London club decided to extend its cooperation with Thiago Silva until the summer of 2024.
Although Kalidou Koulibaly, Wellsy Fofana, and Ben Badiashil arrived at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea did not want to give up the experienced stopper.
He will wear the Blues jersey for at least another year.
“When I signed my first contract here, I was only supposed to stay for one year. Now it’s already the fourth season. It’s an extraordinary moment for me to sign and stay at Chelsea,” Silva said after initialing the new contract.
